Officer Andrew Camilleri
December 24, 2017 Alameda, CAOn Sunday, December 24, 2017, at approximately 11:32 P.M., Officer Andrew J. Camilleri, ID 21653, was seated in the passenger seat of a patrol vehicle stopped near the West Winton Avenue onramp to southbound Interstate 880. An errant driver traveling on southbound Interstate 880 allowed his vehicle to drift to the right and collide with the rear of Officer Camilleri’s patrol vehicle. Officer Camilleri was transported to St. Rose Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
