Officer Nathan Taylor
March 13, 2016 Truckee, CAOn March 12, 2016, at approximately 2:25 PM, CHP Gold Run Area Officer Nathan Taylor, ID 20154, was outside of his patrol vehicle at a collision scene on westbound Interstate 80 at Castle Peak Road, in the CHP Truckee Area, when he was struck by a vehicle. Officer Taylor suffered major injuries as a result of this collision and was transported by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Despite significant life-saving efforts by medical personnel, on Sunday, March 13, 2016, Officer Taylor succumbed to his injuries. He was surrounded by family and friends at the time of his death.
