COVID-19 Effects on Events & Scholarships

Please monitor our Events page frequently for updates to postponed, canceled, or scheduled events. We, along with the CHP area offices who hold fundraising events throughout the year, thank you for your understanding and patience.

10th Annual CHP’pino Feed:

After careful consideration of the ongoing risks and spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our 10th Annual CHP’pino Feed, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020, and defer the event to 2021. All of our event sponsors and attendees have already been notified.

Our event host committee, Board of Directors, and staff fully support CDC and State recommendations by doing our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect high-risk groups of people by postponing this large gathering.

The CHP’pino Feed is an evening we look forward to each year to connect with friends and celebrate being a part of a larger community that cares deeply for the welfare of CHP officers, employees, and their children. We are so very grateful for your continued commitment to the CHP 11-99 Foundation and we will keep you informed as we move toward a new date in 2021.

Special thanks to our remarkable host committee members and sponsors – we appreciate your understanding and look forward to connecting with you in the weeks to come.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Stefany Wilson at swilson@chp11-99.org or Kathryn Phelan at kphelan@chp11-99.org.

Scholarship Application Deadline & July Ceremonies:

In light of what’s going on and everyone’s focus being on their health and safety, we’ve EXTENDED the Scholarship Application deadline by two days, to Monday, March 30 at 4:30 PM PDT.

To start or complete your application in the portal, visit: chp11-99.org/scholarships.

With our scholarship ceremonies taking place in July, we are hopeful that all of our eight ceremonies across the state will take place as usual. However, with uncertainty of how long the coronavirus will impact our communities and when it will peak and finally dissipate, we will continue to monitor CDC and state guidelines and update you as needed if ceremonies will at all be impacted.

If you run into any issues, or need clarification on any step of the application process, please contact Bri Esquivel at besquivel@chp11-99.org.

With sincere appreciation and understanding,

CHP 11-99 Foundation
